Name : Internship Programme
Key Objective of Scheme:

The objective of  Internship is to expose students to the social and economic realities of the rural lives; sensitize them to the vulnerabilities of rural people and help them in  appreciating the constraints and opportunities of a  development project. Rural Internship thus entails students by placing them in villages across Dediapada taluka to work on  various projects and get engaged in socio-economic development.

About the scheme:

Internship program welcomes under- graduate and post  graduates who wish to supplement their educational experience by working with District Administration Narmada. The Scheme offers experiential learning filled with excitement and field level work in exchange of a substantive contribution from gifted individuals who are passionate about community development and  wish to contribute to a more diverse, inclusive environment.

Expected Outcome:

Sensitize workforce of all sector who are socially concerned and are willing to positively contribute to the society. Increase awareness about rural areas in students. Impart thorough understanding of socio-economic status of rural lives. Understanding the functioning of rural areas and non-profit sector. Explore challenging issues in existing systems and suggest possible solutions. Indulgence of opportunities in rural areas amongst students. Enhanced understanding among students about rural development and rural management. Sensitize students with socially responsible behaviour wherever they are placed in future. Enhance skills of students. i.e. observation skill, analytical skill, decision making skill, communication skill. Identifying the routine problem and proposing technological enabled solution or workarounds . 


1. With the Help of NARDES (GNFC CSR) six B. Tech Interns from Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT), Gandhinagar went under  four-week of Rural Internship during the month of Decembar 2015      

2. As a part of internship program, two interns of Gujrat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited (GACL), Rashmi Raina and Sneha Das from KIIT School of Rural  Management, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha, went through a field segment of 10 days in Dediapada Taluka,where they conducted  following activities: Focused Group Discussion with Beneficiaries of  Honeybee keeping. Surveyed  Mushroom Cultivation beneficiaries. Mapped  existing, proposed and  underprogress checkdams in the area. Under Vigyan Ganga Project, conducted science test  for students of standard 6,7 & 8 at  Primary School Khatam, Primary School Bharada (Revla), Primary School Gopaliya, Primary School Gopaliaya, Primary School Ambagam (Sukwal) and Primary School Khokhraumar.
